Get Active! Get Answers!

In accordance with our mission, we are now asking YOU to help us get some answers. Just about everyone wonders if our government is not telling us all they know, or if they are, then they need to be asking some different questions. Well, who is the government? YOU are! The people in Washington DC (for you United States visitors) are only people that work for you.

Plato said "One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors."

To find your Senators and their contact information, Go to the U.S. Senate site. In the top right corner, select your State, and click [Go]. You will be taken to a page with information and links for both of your Senator's contact information. Contact them both, and let them know that you are a constituent and would like to ask some questions.

To find your Congressperson in the U.S. House go to the U.S. House of Representatives site, and on the top left, enter your zip or zip + 4, and click [Go].

NOTE: If you are not a registered voter, get registered here. It makes a difference when talking to your legislators. Afterall, it's the voters that elect them.

If you would like to make free phone calls to Congress, there's always toll-free phone numbers to the U.S. Capitol (if you know where to look). You can call your members of Congress right now on one of these toll-free numbers (that were working as of this posting), 800-828-0498 or 800-614-2803. This is the Capitol switchboard and there are operators on duty 24 hours a day. Just ask to be connected to one of your Senators or your Representative and they'll put you through. If you don't know who they are, you can tell them your State or zip code. You'll get a choice of Senators (remember, you have 2), but you only have 1 U.S. Representative (if your zip code crosses into more than one representative district, you might have to give your entire address for them to find your district and it's representative).

Can we make this easier?

How about this? Click on the
Tell the U.S. Congress to disclose what the government knows about UFO/ET
Action Page, where after entering your message and contact information, it will be automatically sent to your legislators and/or local newspaper (decided by you). The text already supplied will not be automatically sent, but feel free to copy/paste any of it you want to use. Please personalize it with your own words, which will pack more punch.

Can you do more?

Yes!!! Go to your Senators' and/or your U.S. Representative's local office(s), and if they are scheduled at a Town Hall meeting or something; go if you can. If you don't get to ask your question during the meeting, hang around and go through the handshaking line. Take your camera, get a picture of you with them, and let us know how they answered your question. You can also go to the local office(s) to give your question a more personal appeal (and it has tremendous impact). You might even call ahead to try and schedule an appointment.

Contacting your Senators and your U.S. House Representative is a very important step! Any of them can introduce legislation that requires disclosure and/or an investigation! That legislation will have to make it to and through the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation before being sent to the Senate Floor for a full vote.

It only takes a few minutes to write them a good handwritten letter (for most effect), email, or call about the need for UFO hearings...

Committee members email forms and addresses:

Even if one of your Senators (each State has 2) is not on this committee, the others, as members of this committee, represent you, so contact them.

If we can't get the Committee to start hearings (or even discuss UFO's) on their own, and if legislation is assigned to their committee, we'll have a bill that the entire U.S. Congress will know about, and we can track it through the Library of Congress. At that time, we can start a Call To Action, and will have a specific piece of legislation to lobby for. So hedge your bet, and contact all 3 of people who are supposed to represent your interests at the U.S. Capitol.

In all interactions with your employees, please be polite and respectful. Don't expect to talk with your Senators or Representative personally (except in the Town Hall meetings, or on the campaign trail) very often. Just ask for an aide that can address your questions, and get to know that person. Keep each interaction to one topic. You can call about your taxes later ;-) Finish each correspondence by letting them know that you are looking forward to receiving their reply to your questions, and that you will be contacting them again (and make sure you do).

Finally, and a very important step, is that after you've received answers, use that as an opportunity for a followup contact. Thank them for their help, and or willingness to listen, then ask for a little more help. If they said that they would consider your views when looking at any legislation that comes before them, ask them if they would consider introducing that legislation, or if they know of a colleague that might. Make your point again, and supply references to back it up.

If they are being helpful, and you feel that this person is the person you want to continue to represent you, contact their campaign office if they're running again (All U.S. Representatives are up for re-election - 2 year term, but only 1/3 of the Senators - 6 year term), and make a contribution, or better yet, volunteer to help. It could be something as simple as delivering signs, stuffing some envelopes, or making some phone calls, but it does NOT go unnoticed! The campaign staff/office(s), and the Official staff/office(s), are completely separate, but they usually know each other, and frequently people change positions and go to work for the other office. Get to know these people and what they do. Some of them will be running for office one day, and they want to help constituents. If not, they're going into the wrong profession, for the wrong reason.

Can you do even more?

Yes, even if you don't live under jurisdiction of the United State of America you can do something NOW! Go to this site: www.exopoliticsradio.com/action.html and sign the online petitions to the United Nations. And if you know of other resources and/or would like to supply them, we'd be glad to post them. Just contact us.

Once you learn how to do these things, you will be empowered! You will notice how that Your voice is heard! Other issues, like those taxes, healthcare, $4 a gallon gasoline, taking care of our soldiers after they've served, or whatever issue you want to have a voice in, will not have you idly standing by without having your voice heard.

Are we going to do more?

Keep checking back here for updates and progress.

Don't forget that, If you want answers, your government should supply them,
but 1st you need to ask!

Feedback from an Activist

Dear Stephenvillelights.com,

I was happy to participate in your campaign to press Congress for full disclosure regarding the UFO/ET phenomenon. I wrote a message to each of my state's Senators in the off-chance that they would consider my thoughts on the need for public disclosure, while knowing full well so many politicians consider the subject to be taboo. Needless to say that I was very surprised to receive what I regard to be a positive reply back from one of my state's most prominent Senators. She pledged to keep my thoughts in mind in the event that legislation related to this subject comes up. It would have been simple for the Senator to simply ignore my message and let it go unheard, but I believe her reply signifies a new openness on the part of some of our government's representatives. I can only hope that the attitude she shared is only the beginning of new age in government transparency on this very important subject.

Regards,

Matt Saavedra
